Brand Identity Process
Have no fear! My entire process is below. If you have any questions, please reach out!
Inquiry
You begin the process by filling out an inquiry form so I can get an idea of what your needs are and who your business is.
Consultation
We will set up a consultation call. This takes about 20-30 minutes, and this is where we will discuss your business needs, industry challenges, your project scope, timelines, and see if we are a good fit to collaborate together. We will talk about your homework, the Client Questionnaire. This document is something you will work on after our meeting and it gives me more important information about your business, your competitors, and your unique challenges.
After this call, I will send over the questionnaire, my contract, and your invoice. After everything is signed and invoice is paid, I begin on one of my favorite parts, discovery.
All The Extras!
Product packaging, social media materials, brand & product photography, print materials, web design, and anything you may need for your brand that isn't included in the Brand Basics package fits into this step of the process.
This is where I will begin designing any and all of your "extra" brand needs and the timeframe to complete this step depends on each individual project.
Presentation
It's me again, and yes... we will have a meeting. I promise these meetings are fun.
This step is probably to favorite step for every client, the presentation of your new brand. We will go through your brand guidelines which is a document that has every little detail about your brand. This is where I will also present any of the extras like your website or marketing materials you selected.
Discovery + Research
We met and talked about your business needs and you filled out the client questionnaire. After I receive the questionnaire, I get to one of my favorite parts, research. I get to geek out on researching your competitors, your target audience, and your challenges, and I put together a brand strategy document. This step may take a while - and that is important! I will take my time to make sure that I am not only putting together the best starting point for the direction of the visual identity of your brand, but that the tone of voice of who your brand is exceeds what you had envisioned.
If you're reading this and thinking, "I have no clue what I envision for my brand!" That's OKAY! It's my job to put all of these details together.
Strategy Presentation
We meet again! It may seem like we are meeting a LOT... but I cannot tell you how much it helps clients to hear what is going on inside my brain when presenting the direction of your brand. You will get to ask questions and clarify anything you may not understand - and this is done so much better either in person or over a video call!
This step is where I will present your mood board - the visual inspiration for your brand direction.
I will discuss what I have found while researching your target audience and competitors, and my thoughts on what I think of the current industry and how we can help you stand out amongst your competition.
This is also where initial logo concepts will be presented. These will be in black and white, because the color palette inspiration is still in the mood board, and we have not decided on this yet! This is such a fun step in the process. You'll give me feedback and then we will head into revisions.
Final Invoice
We are almost done! Your final invoice for the remainder of your project is due at this time.
Delivery & Client Offboarding
After your final invoice is paid, I will package up everything you need and send it to you. Your logos, brand guidelines, and anything extra you needed. Then, it's just you and your new brand to go and live happily ever after!
We will say goodbye and I'll follow up with an email a few days later and make sure you don't have any further questions and to send a feedback form!
Any Questions?
Now that you have read my brand design process, your next step is to reach out! Fill out my inquiry form or send me a message, I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Revisions
I will take your feedback and notes from our conversation on your mood board and logo concepts, and begin revisions. This is where I will make changes if necessary and I will present the changes to you before we finalize on your logo concept and color palette.
Your sub-logo will be created at this time.
